We have three more new life members, which brings the total for 2011 to 9 new life members.

If your membership is more than one month after your expiration date, your name will be deleted from our mailing list.

We would like more members to participate in the Society.

We had an article by member Larry McNabb on "Glimpses of Nineteenth Century History from Keokuk and Mahaska Counties" about  "Land and Settlement in Early Keokuk and Mahaska Counties"

The Board of Trustees of the Society discussed the possiblity of replacing the roof on our building as the shingles are showing their age.  The decision has been put on hold for the time being as we try to raise the funds.  Contributions are appreciated.

An article from the Oskaloosa Herald about Alfred Balk, formerly of Oskaloosa, and feature editor of the Saturday Review, and the publisher of the Atlas World Press Review.
An article about Paul J Mathew and his history in the lumber business.
An article about Parker Rhods on his 90th birthday.
There are also articles from the Oskaloosa Saturday Globe from 1911.
A listing of Veterans with an Iowa connection buried in Ohio.
